About the Author – Andrew Holgate I’m Andrew Holgate, and I’ve been immersed in the world of theatre for over 20 years. My journey has taken me through almost every corner of the industry:
Professional Chaperone – supporting young performers on stage and behind the scenes in professional touring shows such as Les Miserables and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and on large feature film sets.
Theatre Technician – working on major touring shows behind the scenes at the prestigious Marlowe Theatre on large scale touring shows.
Founder of a Performing Arts School – producing and creating, directing and teaching original scripts and musicals for children and young people for over 11 years.
Award-Winning Business Owner – proud recipient of Best Children’s Business in Kent, a recognition of dedication and quality.
Having been a children’s TV, film, and theatre agent, I also specialised in representing young performers and guiding them through the exciting world of entertainment. From securing auditions with leading casting directors to negotiating contracts and supporting families every step of the way, my role is to ensure that each child’s talent is nurtured and their opportunities are maximised. With industry knowledge and a caring approach, I help young actors shine on screen and stage while protecting their best interests.
